Margaret Brown was born in Charleston, SC, one sweltering July day in 1986. About one decade later, Margaret moved to Jacksonville, NC, where she later completed her high school education and then went on to attend Coastal Carolina Community College. It was here, under the tutelage of Andrea Van Engelenhoven, that Margaret received her first taste of clay. She went on to complete her Associate's in Fine Art degree at CCCC, and then transferred to East Carolina University, in Greenville, NC. Under the instruction of both Jim Tisnado and Seo Eo, Margaret began working towards her four-year degree. In May of 2010, Margaret earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a Concentration in Ceramics and is now creating new pieces on her small deck studio.
